Does anyone work for an Anthropologie store? I'm thinking about applying to work as holiday help. What's it like working for them? What is the average pay? Employee discounts? Dress code for employees?

Anthropologie "Odille" silk shirt
I have this Autumn 2004 silk button-down shirt by Odille that I'd like to sell. I ordered 2 of the same shirt by mistake and I never got around to returning my 2nd shirt. It's still in the plastic bag it came in and is folded and clean. It's a size 2 and made of 100% silk.( Images of shirt under cutCollapse )
Hey everyone... I don't know if anyone has seen it recently, but last season, there was a beautiful thing called a Wharton top
. It went on sale at a time when I had no funds... does any one have a size small, in the rose color, that they'd like to get rid of? :(

I just won this Anthropologie dress on eBay:
I don't think I could love anything more.

i'm kind of new to this community and while it seems to be deadish,
i thought i'd ask a question:
Does anyone know of any valid discount codes for ordering online?
i REALLY want this lamp :
but don't want to pay $250 for it.
PLEASE OH PLEASE!

selling anthro skirt
I have the Happenstance skirt
in a size 4
which I ordered from the website, but unfortunately it's not exactly what I expected. Is there anyone who would be interested in buying it from me?

question about sizes of dresses
Dear Anthropologie experts,
35 bust+hips and 27 waist, is that more likely to be a size S or XS? I'm not entirely sure and I'm not able to go to a store and try anything on in advance, as I don't live in the US.
Thanks a lot!

I've never been inside an Anthropologie store before because the nearest one is in New York City while I'm stuck in a small town about 5 hours away.
I'm always reading about how the stores themselves are so beautifully decorated, so I was curious if anyone had any pictures of the inside of the stores?
Kind of a wierd question but I'm dying to know what they look like (and don't have the means/funds to see for myself.)

Does anyone happen to have a picture of themselves wearing the Adelaide dress
, or would anyone be capable of making one for me, by any chance? I'm thinking about ordering it, but I'm a bit hesistant because I don't know how it'll fit-- and as I don't live in the US, I'd have to ask a friend to order and ship it for me, which means I wouldn't be able to return it if it looks bad.
Would appreciate help!

Hello! I just bought my very first Anthropologie dress-- the Lingering Stars
dress. So pretty and classy!
I made myself do it after once having fallen in love with the Sculpture Garden dress, and having it sell out before I got the chance to buy it. Nearly seven months later, and I'm still kicking myself over it. So, uh, if you know of any place to get one in say, like, a size 4 or 6, let me know, k? :)
Anyway, just sharing my enthusiasm about my new score!

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found this community. I look forward to hearing about everyone's small and BIG purchases. I absolutely adore Anthropologie even though I can't afford most of it. (That's what sales are for!) The store layout is also another thing to be marveled at. So aesthetically pleasing.
I recently splurged on this gorgeous top, corps de ballet blouse
in grey and I just love how you can tie the large sash any way you want. I also own quite a few skirts but don't have any photos on me at the moment.
Also, I was wondering if this community is ever going to get a new layout soon? Some more... Anthropologie-esque, I guess?
And apologies to end on such a rude note, but I am selling an Anthropologie Button Up shirt for anyone who is interested. More information under the cut!( SHIRT FOR SALECollapse )

Does anyone know where I can get some scans/images from the catalogues?
I make icons and I absolutely love the photographs in the catalogues.

I'm working at Anthropologie now. :) I'm just seasonal, though, since I go to school and there's no Anthropologie in that city. You would think the store would get old, since I'm working there every day, but not at all! I still roam the sales floor and find new stuff. I haven't smelled every candle yet, felt every sheet, or tried on every dress. I'm also always perpetually shopping...I still want to buy everything.
Stuff I learned you may not know:
- Every store is unique. Each store has its own visual directors and designers, who work on all of the displays. No display-out-of-a-box-ahem-Gap here.
- Anthropologie stores carry both antique replicas and antique furniture itself. The difference is in the price (antiques are more expensive, of course), and the tag. Next time you go into a store, take a look at the tags on the furniture, especially if it's something that looks old.
- Try EVERYTHING. That's the point of the store. Testers are everywhere.
- Everyone who works there loves the store just as much as you do.
- The season change (summer to fall) will occur in August. It's a deep dark secret, so I don't know what it will entail.
- We get new things all the time. The store is literally filled to the brim with stuff. It makes my job easy, since I don't need to force anyone to want to buy things. :D

Hello dear members of this fabulous anthropologie-lovers community.
I am from Ukraine, and my passion for Anthropologie is mostly online, except for that rare occasion when my friend visited States and I could have the look at the shop's interior and have some presents from it. What I like about this store that it's selling not clothes but mood, ideas and style and somehow nostalgie for the days that passed. Anthropologie style is frigile echo of grande-dame in modern girl.
One of my favourites photo-shoots in Anthropologie refers to the "Behold, a lady" set, that was probably in last fall catalogue. I stored the pics on my comp and unfortunately they are lost. In this respect I would like to ask you if some of you have pictures from that season's catalogue and can post them for me here or send to my e-mail.
Thank you in advance!

Question for you experts!
Hi everyone! OK, so not too long ago I went to the Anthropologie website, and completely fell in love!!! The clothing is absolutely GORGEOUS! Unfortunately, it is wayyyy out of my budget! I shouldn't even be shopping online at a store that sells $500 purses! Anyway, my question is this: what are the sales like? Are sales frequent? Are the savings really significant?? Any tips could be appreciated!!
Happy shopping ♥ Current Mood: restless

Anthropologie put a picture of a pigeon on a shirt!!! I love pigeons and now must own this shirt!
$58 is a lot for a screen tee though but I should be getting my tax refund soon! I've wanted to go to the store again but do the stores often have what the website does? Current Mood: excited

I've done a little bit of shopping over the past month. Today I went to the Anthropologie in Palm Beach, which is always loaded with rich teenagers. This mother-and-daughter team in front of me spent over $1,000. I don't think one thing was on sale.
Anyway, recently acquired stuff:
- evening slumber skirt
, $85. That was way more than I wanted to pay, but I've wanted it forever, so I decided to splurge.
- black pleated skirt by Odille, $20. I can't find it on the website, but I really like it. It's very swishy.
- grand salon dress
, $60. I got this for a steal because the sash was missing. It's very pretty.
- vanja poet top
, black, $40. I ordered it online and the shipping was outrageous. I don't want to throw the box away because it cost me like $8. It's pretty, but I haven't found the right thing to match it with yet.
- I also bought a gorgeous purple French message board (the kind with the ribbon Xs) for $25. I waited for it to go on sale and saved a place on my wall for it.
So what do you all think of the new summer stuff? I love the dresses, but I can't wait for fall because I love dark colors.
